Originally born in Wheeling, West Virginia, I grew up in Columbus, Ohio. I am a fan of my hometown Buckeyes, but I am a West Virginia Mountaineer through and through. I attended Olentangy Orange High School in north Columbus after moving to the district in elementary school when my father, who teaches elementary physical education, got hired on in the district. I grew up a HUGE sport fan. To this day my father always tells a story of a time when I was around eight years old and he walked into my room and I was watching a 1980s football game on ESPN Classic. Sport has always been my life. After high school I attended my parents’ alma mater of West Virginia University. While there I completed my undergraduate degree in sport psychology, with a minor in sports communication. I then completed my master’s in communications. While at WVU I worked as a scholarship student equipment manager for the football team. After my four years of hard work, I earned the graduate assistant position where I got to work hand in hand with our head and assistant equipment manager in supervising our 20 student managers. I could talk about this experience and tell stories for hours, so be careful I may talk your ear off. I dreamed of playing for WVU my whole life and I wouldn’t trade playing for them over my experiences in the equipment room whatsoever. After college I came back to Columbus where I had been selling cars for the last five years. I can’t wait to take that experience of sales with my background in sport to help programs in our community with fundraising. I have always been a customer first employee and I am beyond excited to get out in my community and help make an impact on our future.
