Our Mission and Purpose: The Santa Teresa Model United Nations uses a simulation-based activity to understand issues that affect the global community and advocate for systemic change, build student leadership, foster cooperation through caucusing and resolutions, improve our research and debate skills, and gain empathy for people around the world. We focus on issues such as the support of refugees, access to health care, support of indigenous and localized economies, development of regional infrastructure, international security and denuclearization, access for childhood education and technology, the protection of the environment, and the preservation of fundamental natural resources and historical sites.
Your Financial Support: Your generous financial support is used to invest in our collective future. Our students work diligently to identify the many crises that humanity faces and works to identify reasonable, workable solutions to them. Financial support will be used to take students to local, regional, national, and international conferences, where we will debate with students from around the world to discuss the issues and craft resolutions. Financial support will enable us to pay for hotels, airfare, conference registration fees, and will be an investment in our own conference that we host at Santa Teresa, Santa Clara Valley Model United Nations.
