After spending 20 years as a public school teacher, I decided to switch gears and help students in another way. I love watching kids pursue their passions outside of the classroom. From UIL to the field or court, everyone has that which motivates them. My goal is to help them raise the money needed to foster that passion. I have lived all over the state teaching from 6A to 1A and everything in-between. I understand the budget cuts and how they affect all aspects of education. Although I wasn’t born in Texas, I did get here as fast as I could. I graduated from Iowa State University and moved to Texas to fulfil my dream of being a teacher. I fell in love with Texas, and a true Texan, so this became home. My husband, who was a coach for many years, and I have two sons. One has a passion for lacrosse and played collegiate lacrosse for Sam Houston State and now coaches his own lacrosse team in the Houston area.
