Born and raised in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, VA, sports and outdoors has always been my passion. I started enjoying athletics at an early age. Throughout high school I was a three-sport athlete where I lettered 4 years in football, basketball, and baseball; as well as leader in FEA and FCA. I received a scholarship to the University of Virginia to play baseball; however, I was then selected in the 10th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft to the Houston Astros out of high school. I played 5 seasons in the Houston Organization before continuing my career independently for the Evansville Otters and currently in year ten for the York Revolution. I am married to a beautiful wife, Nikki, and just welcomed our sweet little girl Karsyn to our family. When not competing in athletics, I enjoy all the outdoors of fishing and hunting, as well as playing golf. In 2014, we open a baseball and softball facility to give our community and athletes a place to work on their skills year-round. Having a passion for helping youth athletes and wanting to see student athletes have all the resources necessary for a great experience in sports, led me to getting involved with Vertical Raise.
