Growing up in Southern Oregon, I spent much of my time either playing on the athletic fields or being outdoors. In high school, I was a 3-sport athlete, earning numerous awards and recognition at the league and state levels. Academically, I excelled in the sciences, history, and Latin. While in high school, I found my passion in coaching youth sports. I started volunteering to coach a little league softball team for two years. After graduating high school, I attended Pacific University, earning a bachelor's degree in exercise science with an emphasis in sports medicine and a master's degree in teaching while also playing volleyball and softball collegiately. Shortly after graduating college, I returned to Southern Oregon and was hired by my alma mater to teach and coach. Currently, I have been teaching for 18 years in a variety of subjects like science, physical education, health, computers, and Latin. I am also the head varsity volleyball coach at the high school, coming off a final 8 state championship appearance, and the director of a club volleyball program which boasts the only boys' volleyball team in the southern part of the state. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports, camping, riding 4 wheelers, and cheering on my two children in their sporting activities - BMX, basketball, volleyball, and dance. I am excited to have the opportunity to help youth teams make their dreams a reality through fundraising by meeting or exceeding their goals.
