Mike is a Florida native who went to Florida Atlantic University on a baseball scholarship. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2006 and made his Major League debut with the team in 2011. Mike then played two years in Japan where he was an All-Star in 2014. Since retiring in 2016, he has stayed active in the youth sports community, coaching at Wesley Chapel (FL) High School, Braden River High School as well as travel and Little League baseball. Mike is passionate about youth sports and the opportunities and lessons it provides to kids that will last a lifetime!
