Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, I pride myself on three things, my faith, family, and sports. Throughout my youth and high school, I played multiple sports. From football, baseball, basketball, and swimming. In high school at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, I competed in baseball and football at the varsity level while playing basketball my first year. I also played in the Shrine Bowl in 2006 and was voted team captain. In the classroom I wrote for the sports section in our school newspaper the Flyer and was a huge fan of English class. In college, I earned a degree in public relations from Washburn University in 2011 while being a student-athlete playing football for the Ichabods. I played linebacker and was a force on the special teams. I also was a published writer for the Washburn Review.

I am married to my amazing wife Amber and have two sons Eastyn (11) and Carston “CJ” who is four. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, attending concerts and sporting events, and coaching my sons in baseball and football. The Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, Wichita State Shockers, and Kansas State football has brought me a lot of joy over the years. I stay active by lifting weights and going on walks, playing pickup basketball, and coaching Eastyn and CJ with their sports.
