I was born and raised in Arroyo Grande, California. I’ve been lucky enough to call the central coast home my entire life. Growing up I spent a lot of time surfing and playing beach volleyball. While I loved both of those activities, there was something missing. The camaraderie and environment of team sports was unbeatable. I attended Arroyo Grande High School and played soccer, volleyball and water polo. It wasn’t until after high school that I discovered one of my biggest passions in life, golf. Golf is what introduced me to my wife, Claire. We still live in Arroyo Grande today with our kids Jackson and Josie. They spend most of their time chasing around our Australian Shepherd named Bandon. In my mid-twenties I went back to school and got my Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from California Baptist University in Riverside. Right after that I got my Masters in Education and Sports Management from the University of Texas at Austin, Hook Em. I currently work as the Men’s Golf Coach at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria. I understand the hardships and sympathize with programs that need additional funding. It is my goal to make sure that every program has the necessary funding not only to exist, but to thrive.
