Growing up in Brooklyn, NY in the 80's, participation in sports was a right of passage. The streets of Brooklyn were our stadiums. From football, several variations of baseball, and hockey, to basketball, tennis, and volleyball we played it all. We were lucky enough to live in a time where every sport was available to us. We just had to dodge the cars. I've been lucky to be involved with sports my entire life. First, as an athlete, next as a sales rep for the nations leading publisher for pro teams and colleges, now as a parent of 3 amazing athletes. While the sports have always been the same, the opportunity to play has changed. I'm fortunate enough to have been right in the middle of these changes and have seen where the needs are.
