About This Fundraiser

The purpose of the Sankofa educational trip is to encourage participants to "look back in order to move forward." This means that the trip aims to provide a deep and comprehensive understanding of African-American history, particularly in the context of the Civil Rights Movement. By revisiting historical sites and engaging in various activities, the trip seeks to educate and inspire students, with the ultimate goal of motivating them to effect positive change when they return to their campus and community.

The scholars will explore key sites in Atlanta, Montgomery, Tuskeegee and Memphis!
