Hello, and welcome to my team Team Appalachian Vertical Raise biography. I am originally from Alabama where I went to high school and played baseball. After high school, I served five years in the United States Navy as a Naval Aircrewman/Rescue Swimmer (AW) stationed in Jacksonville, FL. Throughout those years, I learned life skills that I benefit from today such as teamwork, honor, loyalty, and attention to detail. My next journey was through college at Jacksonville State University (AL) with a degree in Secondary Education focusing on History. I have been teaching for 13 years; 10 in Alabama and 3 in North Carolina. I love to play golf in my spare time and hope to make the Senior PGA tour one day, but breaking 90 will do for now. I also play competitive tennis with family members and friends throughout Asheville and the surrounding area. I have spent my career serving the public. I am excited to represent Vertical Raise and help local teams raise money for a better quality experience playing sports. I will work vigilantly and give you an in-person experience to help your team become successful with our fundraising platform.
